St Nicks in the Community

As a club we are proud to support our community…

2020

  • 150+ EASTER EGGS
  • 2000 SOUP POTS
  • TOYS & GIFTS
  • FOOD & ESSENTIALS

We are currently collecting for two groups in our local community that support families during these tough times.

We are providing food and essentials to Family Food 4 Free. This amazing group offer everyone a no cost pop up shop with freshly cooked meals, food items & surplus stock from our local super markets, as well as emergency boxes to those who can’t access the ‘shop’.

And also the Yate and Sodbury Toy and Activity Bank.

A community project developed by Yate and Sodbury Neighbourhood Scheme (YSNS) during the Covid 19 Crisis. These brilliant people want to provide for those who will find this season especially difficult.

We’re super proud to be able to support these fantastic groups – and look forward to showing you just how much we manage to collect.

MAY

St Nicholas FC are thrilled to be able to donate 2000 soup pots to The Vintage Birdcage Cakery and Cafe, who throughout lockdown have been delivering freshly made soup to the elderly and vulnerable in our community. How amazing are they?!

“Massive thank you to Steve Venn and Andy Paget of St Nicks Football Club for donating us 2000 soup pots!!

Wow wow wow

That will keep us going

Thank you so much for you kindness”

APRIL

Today, St Nicholas FC, handed over £300 of Easter eggs to the local Fire Station based in Yate, for themselves, family and friends. This is a little thank you from the club to a group that is clearly still proving an essential service to the local community.

Some of the eggs will be passed over to the Great Western Ambulance service next door, who were all on a ‘shout’ when delivery was being made.

The fire crew were surprised, but absolutely grateful and said to pass on a massive thanks to all at the club.

Have to also say a huge thanks to Tesco Yate, Phil and Lewis in particular, for their assistance in picking and packing.
