Safeguarding & Welfare
At St Nicholas FC, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and enjoyable football environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive.
Because the welfare of our players always comes first, all coaches are DBS checked and hold up-to-date FA Safeguarding qualifications. And our dedicated Club Welfare Officer is available to support players, parents, volunteers and coaches whenever needed.
Whether you’re new to the club or have been part of our football family for years, you can be confident that safeguarding remains one of our highest priorities.
Our Safeguarding
commitment
Our commitment includes:
- FA-qualified and DBS-checked coaches
- A dedicated Club Welfare Officer
- Clear safeguarding and reporting procedures
- A welcoming and inclusive club culture
- Ongoing safeguarding education and training
- Promoting respect, equality and positive behaviour across every age group
By working together with parents, volunteers and players, we create an environment where children can enjoy football while developing confidence, friendships and lifelong skills.
St Nicholas FC
Club Philosophy
Our philosophy is built around five simple principles:
- Personal Growth – We create an environment where every player can develop both on and off the pitch.
- Fun First – Children learn best when football is enjoyable, exciting and rewarding.
- Inclusive Football – We welcome players of all ages, backgrounds and abilities from our local community.
- Player Development – Every child develops differently, so we provide opportunities that help every player progress at their own pace.
- A Lifelong Love of Football – Above all, we want children to enjoy the game, build friendships and remain involved in football for years to come.
